This motto is the basis for our approach to health and wellness at Fox Valley Wellness Center. How does this make us different than most other medical clinics? In traditional medicine, physicians focus on the symptoms of disease: they use a pattern of symptoms to make a diagnosis, and then rely primarily on pharmaceutical drugs to suppress those symptoms. All patients with the same diagnosis generally undergo the same treatments. In contrast, our providers at Fox Valley Wellness Center are concerned with finding the cause of a patient's problem. The reason for this is two-fold. First, when only symptoms are treated, the real reason for the illness will remain in the patient's body. Because the actual problem remains, it will frequently manifest in a recurrence of symptoms, necessitating a lifetime regimen of drugs, or it will cause a new set of symptoms, which are often more severe than the first. Secondly, each patient is an individual with a specific illness and will respond to a treatment differently.
